Katie brought such a genuine enthusiasm and openness that i couldn't help but enjoy the photo documentation experience. i'm normally scared to take pictures of my works-in-progress, especially with the backdrop of a chaotic workspace behind me, and being a work-in-progress myself, am often awkward around cameras. somehow, with 3 photos, she was able to tell an accurate story of who i am and where i'm currently at, and was able to find visual harmony in my poorly-lit, jumbled mess of a studio. big thanks to katie for holding up a mirror that cast such an encouraging reflection, she is truly an artist and friend to anyone and anywhere she focuses her lens! -Jaques, New Orleans
